This document summarizes a research project called "Open Schooling with Collaborative Scientific Action for the Environmental Protection of Wild Animals in the Semi-Arid Northeast". The project aims to integrate science into school curricula by involving students, families, universities, and businesses in participatory science. It is taking place in Brazil as part of the larger European CONNECT Project. Schools and partners decided to focus on the trafficking and captivity of songbirds, which threatens local wildlife. The project will implement collaborative scientific actions and open education to address this issue through the "Rewinding Birds Brazil" initiative.
