This tea is oolong tea. This tea is made from the leaves of the same plant with which the
green tea and black tea are produced. The variance is in the time of fermentation of the
leaves. The leaves of green tea are not fermented, while black tea leaves are fermented
completely. The variety of oolong is obtained from a partial fermentation of the leaves.
Fermentation, or the lack of it, gives the various types of tea and their color and aroma. It also
alters the chemical composition of tea. The most significant changes affecting a group of
chemicals called Catechins. These are powerful antioxidants that can act directly on human

3. Why should you drink oolong tea?
Tea is a caffeinated beverage. One of the main benefits related to this tea is the increase of
alertness, energy level and intellectual activities. These effects are directly related to the level
of caffeine. They increase with the increase of the level of caffeine.
Some people drink this tea to prevent or treat obesity and diabetes. One study suggests that
drinking 6 cups of oolong tea a day for a month can help people suffering from type 2
diabetes, lowering blood sugar. Other studies, conducted both on humans and on animals,
suggest that the intake of this tea can help you lose weight.
Most of the people drink this tea as it contains lots of health benefits and helps reducing
various ailments like:

studies.
The researchers are interested in the possibility of tea, especially the green tea to help treat or
prevent certain types of cancer. Studies in animals have revealed encouraging reports.

oolong or black) per day can significantly reduce the risk of ovarian cancer.
The oolong tea has strong antioxidant properties and anti-overweight. Derived from the

antioxidant power of tea while caffeine and catechins, which are present in moderate amounts,
