Where to use
iRidium server?

Example 1 - KNX
KNX installation -> KNXnet/IP protocol -> more
than 100 of status variables to display on a control
panel – not all statuses come to a panel!
The particular of the KNX-protocol demands a
buffer zone that always knows the current state of
the system -> the iRidium server software is
capable to do this (like the Weinzierl BAOS devices)

Example 2 - HDL
HDL installation, several control panels, numerous climate
devices and sensors. When control panels are connected,
the bus gets more and more loaded and its work gets
unstable!
Timers, without which HDL won’t give its state, have to be
created on each panel, as a result, the bus gets overloaded
with requests.
The iRidium server software can solve this problem!

Example 3 – Audio/Video multiroom
To control AV equipment via IR and RS232 you can use
the Global Caché GC-100 adapters. But only one
control panel can work with the GC-100
(or more than 4 with iTach)
Many devices are limited by the number of
simultaneous connections.

Example 4 – Scenes and logics
If you leave an app when a long-time scene is on – the
scene is not done to the end!
A control panel is a real-time system, it does not work
if it is switched off.

Example 5 – Saving on expensive hardware gateways!
If you need a gateway in your project (for example
from KNX to Helvar, or from Helvar to Modbus) you
have to buy a very expensive hardware-based
gateway.
Not with iRidium server UMC !
You can create a software-based gateway between
ANY protocol supported in iRidium mobile!

• Pair your license online with your project(s)
• Usage of the Server is by default available in a license, but it’s not

direct communication between your control-panel and your home-
