TRAVEL + LEISURE’S SURVEY RANKS CAPITAL CITY
                                        THIRD BEST IN NATION

Outranked only by New Orleans and San Francisco, Providence is No. 3 on Travel +
Leisure’s America’s Best Cities for Foodies survey. Cited for its burgeoning farm-to-table
establishments, the Capital City is winning the hearts and stomachs of American travel-
ers with its New England “homey vibe.” Nods were given to Providence’s Chez Pascal and
Nick’s on Broadway for serving seafood purchased directly from local fishermen. Provi-
dence eclipsed New York City, which came in at No. 4, and neighboring Boston which
came in at No. 23.

        PROVIDENCE’S OWN LASALLE BAKERY AWARDED
                        NATIONAL BAKERY OF THE YEAR

grabbed the attention of national publication Modern Baking Magazine, which has
awarded them the National Retail Bakery of the Year title.

The full story covers the bakery’s longstanding success at operating two retail shops
within close proximity to each other, citing both their management and marketing
methods.
To show appreciation for loyal customers and employees, LaSalle Bakery is hosting a
Celebration Week from October 24-28. More details can be found at
