  2. 2. ST PATRICK’S DAY FESTIVIITIES!ProvidenceMarch 19, 2011 The St. Patricks Day festivities Actual photo taken of the St. Pat’s 5k race in March 2010.start with the 3rd annual St. Pats 5K race. Therace will start at 11:15 a.m. at the Rhode IslandState House on Smith Street and will be an outand back loop on the annual Providence SaintPatricks Day Parade route. Thousands of peo-ple will be cheering on runners and walkers asthey celebrate Saint Patrick. The St. Pats 5Kwill be the last race in the "Tour de Patrick" raceseries. The annual Parade will start at 12pm andtake place at the intersection of Smith Street(Route 44) and Hilltop Avenue, proceeding east to the State House. The post race and parade celebra-tions will be held at Patricks Pub and Ri Ra.PawtucketMarch 5, 2011, Begins at 12:00pm. The city kicks off its celebration of Irish heritage in Rhode Island andthe Blackstone Valley with the always festive and colorful parade. The Parade steps off from DivisionStreet and Columbus Avenue, travels along Walcott Street to Main Street, and ends at City Hall onRoosevelt Avenue. Parade reception follows. It will begin promptly at 11:00am from Newport City Hall and will proceed to CarrollAvenue at Saint Augustin’s Church in the heart of the Fifth Ward.
