This document describes seven "houses" that represent different ways people use their phones in the workplace, both courteously and rudely. The House of Multitasking promotes rudeness through phone distractions during meetings. The House of Awkwardness has no issue taking calls in strange locations like bathrooms. In contrast, the House of Courtesy respects boundaries by silencing phones and taking calls privately. The House of Carelessness is inconsiderate through loud speakerphone calls and ringing phones in meetings. The House of Over-Calling bombards others with constant calls. The House of Non-Communication has disjointed phone conversations. Finally, the House of Obliviousness becomes unaware of their surroundings when on the phone.
