3. Michaels
External:
● Walking in looks like they changed the
store to a winter wonderland
● Very Colorful yet a lot of dull tones
makes your eyes go to where they want
you to look
● Going back into the store the bright and
dull tones did not change from their fall
sectio to their crafts section
Internal:
● Their color scheme is very interesting as there are many dull tones
but bright tones where they want you to look, like for their christmas
section.
● Their registers are ‘hidden’ as they are at the front corner of the store
so you have to walk around and shop around more
● They sell many items, mostly crafts so it is perfect for any creative
person
4. Dollar Tree
External:
● Walking in you immediately see the register
and seasonal items
● It is lined in green and yellow which is a
little tacky but it is their colors
● Not very organized, but the cheapness of
the store makes it okay
● Really looking around from the ceilings and
the floors you can tell it is an older building
which needs a little maintenance
Internal:
● As Dollar Tree went up to $1.25, they are
very smart with it, they still show $1.25 but
on all of the aisles it just shows a 1, making
you think it is still $1 and spend more
● Everything is everywhere, the christmas
items, food items, beauty items are in the
same area, but you could buy nail polish, a
loofa and socks in the same aisle
5. World Market
External:
● Dull colors, but walking in they are sections which are clearly highlighted
by a colored wall.
● Fluorescent lights which do not highlight a specific area
● If you are going in to buy one thing, you will come out with many more
things
Internal:
● It is sectioned off and you can buy many things,
such as world foods and alcohol, chairs and tables,
rugs, and many little trinkets
● They promote sales which really catches anyones
eye
● Everything is everywhere, but it is still roomie
enough to where instead of trying to squeeze
through you look through
● I applaud their many types of items
6. Ross
External:
● Very open floor plan when you first walk in
● Everything is labeled, from Maternity to Shoes to Home items.
● Still includes their classic blue color without throwing it in your face
● Keep their clothing and trinket items separate but not separate
enough to where you can’t walk in without looking at both.
Internal:
● Very open so you are not overwhelmed with items
● Have their seasonal items everywhere which is smart so you still need to
look through the whole store.
● They have practically everything, meaning you can come in to grab clothes,
a snack, new pans and something for your furry friend.
● They have many gifts out and about which is smart as people are starting to
buy christmas gifts
7. Petsmart
External:
● Very organized and clean
● Has many options for all types of pets
● Christmas stuff is all down the center aisle so it catches
peoples eye
● Every pet is organized in its own section so very easy to
find things
● Pet hospital is one of the first things you can see when
you walk in which is nice and easy to get to
Internal:
● Every type of pet is organized in its own section which is perfect for anyone
trying to find something quickly
● Live pets are almost the center of attention as there is fish on the right and
small animals and reptiles on the left
● The Christmas items is on display, which is perfect to get anyone who even
thinks of buying something to actually buy something (I bought 4 Christmas
items for my fish tank)
● The pet hospital is straight down from the entrance which is easy to find if
needed
8. Target
External:
● Very well organized where everything is labeled
● Very bright but lighting is placed and sealed properly so it is not
very bright
● Every section is sanctioned off by carpet, with the tile portions being
the walkways
● Seems never ending which makes you want to explore everywhere
Internal:
● Their most looked for products are smartly
placed in the back so you need to walk through
the store to get what you need
● All their groceries and ‘needed’ items are
located on one side of the store which is nice
for convenience
● They have little stands and a cheap section
near their registers so you ‘have’ to look
