● I never realized how little stock they had of each

● Most expensive items were along the walls
● Center display with “featured” clothing set
(for both male and females)
● Most customers were just browsing making a
loop through the store
● Very brightly lit
4. Sierra Trading Post
● Logo matches the theme of their products
● Wooden and stone floors match outdoor style
● No employees came up to me
● Seasonal items at the front of the store (sleds,
shovels - it’s cold in Chicago now)
● Customers usually shop in pairs
● About 50% of customers purchased something
● Most customers were browsing, looking for
something they like

● Products are separated into sections of their
product families (ex. iPads, iPhones)
● Purchases able stock in the back of the store
(tables only contain display models)
● Employees greet customers right away and ask
how they can help
● More employees than customers
● No sale items

● Black walls with rustic wooden tables
● Colorful soaps and bath bombs (contrast store
coloration)
● Strong smell (gave me a headache)
● I did not want to stay there for long
● Employee greeted me
● Prices are clearly displayed
● Most customers were just browsing and did not

● Old, traditional theme
● This was the first store that had music played
which I definitely preferred
● An employee asked if she could help me with
anything
● There was an entire room of the store that had
sale items
● Most customers were either females or couples
● Customers were usually just browsing
● Only about 10% purchased something
