Nutella truffles recipe
1. Nutella Truffles
These truffles are a mixture of chocolate, cream, butter, chopped hazelnuts and
heavenly Nutella.
This easy gourmet food recipe is totally foolproof. You can’t mess it up. That’s
how simple it is!
2. Start by heating the heavy cream till the boiling point and put it over soften butter
and the finely chopped chocolate (I’ve used Scharffen Berger 70% but you can use
60 or even darker if you prefer as long as it’s not milk chocolate). Let it sit for few
moments and stir until the mixtures becomes smooth, shiny and uniform. Now
add Nutella and finally chopped hazelnuts. Mix until combined and chill until easy
to handle.
3. After the mixture is chilled enough to handle, take small pieces (little over a
teaspoon) and roll them between your palms to get them (somehow) round. If it
gets too sticky, dust your palms with a little cocoa powder.
Once all the balls are done the fun begins. Take out your sprinkles and rolls the
truffles to cover. Alternately you can use cocoa powder, powder sugar or finely
chopped hazelnuts, but I think the sprinkles are more fun to work with and make
the truffles even more irresistible. Don’t you think so?
4. When you’re done, pour yourself a glass of cold milk, sink your teeth into this
little ball of rich creamy chocolate candy and hide. You’ll have a hard time sharing
these little treasures.
5. Nutella Truffles
Nutella Truffles - a rich, smooth, creamy mixture of chocolate, cream, butter,
chopped hazelnuts and heavenly Nutella.
Ingredients
6 oz chocolate, finely chopped
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup soft butter, diced
1/3 cup Nutella
1/3 cup finely chopped hazelnuts
sprinkles, cocoa powder, powder sugar or finely chopped hazelnuts for
coating
Instructions
1. Place the finely chopped chocolate and diced butter in a heatproof bowl.
6. 2. Pour the cream into a small saucepan over medium heat. When the cream
is just about to boil, pout it over the butter and chocolate. Let it sit for
almost 1 minute and slowly whisk it together until it becomes smooth, silky,
shiny and uniform chocolate mixture.
3. Stir in the Nutella and chopped hazelnuts. Mix to combine.
4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours until
easy to handle.
5. When the mixture is chilled enough to handle, take small pieces (little over
a teaspoon) and roll them between your palms to get them round. If it gets
too sticky, dust your palms with a little cocoa powder.
6. Once all the balls are done roll them in sprinkles, cocoa powder, powder
sugar or finely chopped hazelnuts to cover.
7. Keep the truffles in an air-tight container. Serve at room temperature
