This document provides nursing mnemonics for common emergency drugs: Lidocaine is used to treat ventricular arrhythmias and as a topical anesthetic. Epinephrine treats bronchial asthma, allergic reactions, and glaucoma. Atropine decreases secretions, treats slow heart rates, and reverses anticholinesterase medications. Naloxone is used for opioid toxicity, respiratory depression from opioids, and treating effects of narcotics given during labor.
