Personalized learning is one of the main ideals that many educational institutions strive to provide for their students. Learning analytics with its promise to help understand and optimize learning and the environments in which learning happens has eagerly been received in this context. Existing research in learning analytics has dedicated much attention to studies that aimed at identifying factors predicting different learning outcomes based on learners’ interaction with technology. Existing research indicates that learning is a dynamic process that is driven by feedback loops. If those feedback loops are not accounted for comprehensively, opportunities for creating personalized learning experiences are limited. However, there is the dearth of research that focuses on understanding how learning unfolds over a certain period of time under different conditions. This talk will describe different factors that influence students’ feedback loops and decision making. The talk will also discuss insights gained in several case studies that looked at dynamic models of learning.
Each semester includes predictable rhythms or cycles. Understanding and recognizing these rhythms can be beneficial to instructors and students! This research supported approach to informing, explaining, and supporting students as they experience natural rhythm changes can lead to increased retention and satisfaction.
Pubcon Las Vegas 2016: Content, Search and Social InterplayMaggie Malek
How are you creating winning content? The key to creating content that has the power to change consumers hears and minds is by creating a continuous feedback loop between the teams charged with search, social and content. By beginning with data, specifically search and social listening, you can create an integrated strategy across platforms. The strategy drives specific content (text and visual) which is further optimized from a search and social perspective. If done right, content will inspire engagements (clicks, comments, time on site, shares) which creates further data to start the loop over again. This loop can start high level and be customized for campaigns or specific platforms. But how do you determine WHICH data is the most important?
Maggie Malek, Head of Social Media at MMI Agency will discuss this issue in greater detail as she outlines a framework (including a tactical guide) for how the practices can supplement each other’s efforts in order to create excellent content and make the most of a Brand’s budget. Maggie will provide tips for structuring this interaction, and use examples and case studies of campaigns which have seen improved results thanks to the above framework.

User-Generated Content (UGC) could be described as online word-of mouth, one of the most trustworthy sources of information. So how are brands using it and who's doing it well? And should UGC be a part of your content strategy?

When you are creating a visuals and want them to look as snazzy as possible, there is a lot you can do to make your images shine with the brightness and glory of a thousand suns. Creative Traction Methodology - For Early Stage StartupsTommaso Di Bartolo
How to build a mindset that gets a new product traction? 99% of all startups are forced to give up because they lack traction. As founders are thrilled and captivated to build a product that could change the world - the majority downright neglects to put equal efforts towards how to differentiate in taking the product to market. The difference between those who make it to get traction and the rest lies in the innovator’s mindset.
