Love is the most important thing in Christianity. It is greater than any gifts or faith if not accompanied by love. Love is patient, kind, and does not envy or boast. It is not rude or self-seeking, and keeps no record of wrongs. There are three Greek words for love: eros, phileo, and agape. Agape refers to supernatural, unconditional love like God's love for humanity. We are commanded to love God and our neighbors unconditionally. We cannot love through our own strength but through God's love and the fruit of the Spirit within us. We show our love for God through faith.
