Summary
The “Lowbed Driver “position transports heavy pieces of equipment to different locations including
jobsites and shop areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
 Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc.)
 Drive truck tractor with manual transmission and trailer to and from destination.
 Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
 Maintain telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
 Load and unload truck.
 Climb in and out of large machinery to operate and move heavy pieces of equipment.
 Inspect truck and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
 Position, block and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
 Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
 High school Diploma or equivalent.
 1-2 Years of experience required.
 Must possess a valid CDL, class A License, a clean MVR, and must pass a DOT physical.
 Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
 Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations.
Shift: Dayshift, Monday-Friday. Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as operationally necessary.
