∗ Note taking is the practice of recording information
captured from another source.
∗ The writer records the essence of the information,
freeing their mind and to recall everything.

∗ Forces the listener to pay attention
∗ Requires organization, which involves active effort on the part of

Is a systematic format for condensing and organizing
notes without laborious recopying.
CORNELL METHOD
Example Of Cornell Method
∗ Method practiced by listening and then writing in points
in an organized pattern based on space indention.
∗ Use of roman numerals or decimals
∗ Mostly used by science students
OUTLINE METHOD
Example of Outline Method
∗ Is a graphical representation of the content of a lecture
∗ Used when the learner do not have any idea about how
lecture is going to be presented
MAPPING METHOD
Example of Mapping Method
∗ Method is practiced by drawing the table containing various
columns and rows
∗ The information (words, phrases, ideas etc.) is placed into the
appropriate category of table
