Non-Owned Auto Liability coverage protects a company if an employee is involved in an accident while using their personal vehicle for company business. This coverage would pay damages to a third party on behalf of the company in excess of the employee's personal auto insurance. The coverage is for the company's liability only and does not provide physical damage coverage for the employee's vehicle. State law still holds the employee responsible for injuries or damages caused in an accident.
