The document proposes establishing the Nobel Laureate Academy in India to identify and nurture talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue careers in scientific research. The academy aims to provide a supportive learning environment and mentorship to help students gain admission and succeed at top Indian and international institutions. Its goal is to produce India's first Nobel Prize winner or Fields Medal recipient. It outlines plans to select 50 students annually, provide world-class education and facilities, and ensure 100% placement at top colleges worldwide. The selection process focuses on students from poor families with IQs over 150. It presents examples of other successful educational programs and estimates costs of 1 crore rupees annually to run the academy.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

outstanding work in mathematics. It is regarded as the
‘Nobel Prize for Mathematics’ and has been awarded since
1936. Since 1950, it is awarded every four years for up to

5. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize
for Science and Technology
• The Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and
Technology is awarded annually by the Council of Scientific
& Industrial Research (CSIR) for notable and outstanding
research, applied or fundamental, in Biology, Chemistry,
Environmental Science,Engineering, Mathematics,
Medicine and Physics. The purpose of the prize is to
recognize outstanding Indian work (according to the view
of CSIR awarding committee) in Science and Technology. It
is the highest award for science in India. The award is
named after the founder Director of the Council of
Scientific & Industrial Research, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar.
It was first awarded in 1958.
6. Time to retrospect…..
India, a country of 1.25 Billion has unfortunately till
now produced only 7 Nobel prize winners where as
Sweden a small country with population of 9.4 million
has got 29 Nobel Prize winners & Switzerland with
population 7.8 million has got 25 Nobel prize winner.
What is worse is that no Indian has ever won the
prestigious Fields Medal. Which is shame for a country
which gave the world ‘Zero’ and the ‘Decimal System’,
and which is home of eminent mathematicians like
Aryabhatt, Bhaskaracharya, and Ramanujan.
7. Time to retrospect…..
• In such a scenario, can a poor child in some remote village
even think of getting a Nobel Prize, leave alone dreaming
about it.
• But that is the whole idea behind Nobel Laureate
Academy. To make them not just dream but firmly believe
that they have got everything in order to accomplish this.
• One of the greatest mathematician of all times Srinavas
Ramanujan himself was from a poor family and never
went to college.
8. The Aim…………
The main objective of Nobel Academy is to track the talented bunch of
students from economically impoverished sections and hone their skills by
providing a conducive environment.
To Nurture & motivate underprivileged children to take scientific research as
a career.
Focus will remain on identifying and nurturing young scientists from
impoverished backgrounds. To give them a chance to dream about Nobel
Prize and Fields Medal, and putting every bit of effort to make this dream
come true.
Talent knows no boundaries. It is everywhere. All one needs is to spot talent
and nurture it to let it blossom.
Nobel Academy is a highly ambitious and innovative educational and training
program which aims to bestow the world with some enormous talents .
9. Great Opportunity
Nobel Academy’s attempt is to utilize the highly
talented populace of India and give them all the
opportunities to take and win Nobel Prize/Fields
Medal for India . Or at least the Shanti Swarup
Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, the
highest honor in India for contribution in field of
Mathematics, Science or Technology.
10. TARGET FROM
