Anticorrosion polyethylene tape No. 55 is developed for preventing corrosion and protecting various types of pipelines. It consists of a polyethylene film base and a self-fusing butyl rubber adhesive layer. The tape provides superior durability and corrosion resistance for protecting pipelines, power cables, and communication cables. It is highly flexible, conforms well to complex shapes, and forms an effective anticorrosion layer when wrapped. Testing shows the tape maintains high tensile strength and elongation even after long term chemical immersion. It also exhibits excellent insulation resistance and watertightness over time. The tape should be stored in a cool, dark place and not used in areas with temperatures over 70°C.

Comparisons between analytical and experimental data demonstrate a significant influence of braiding parameters, like braiding angle and number of braiding layers, on the mechanical properties of BFRP rebars. In addition, it is noteworthy that all predicted moduli determined with CLT numerical approach are found to be higher than the test results and overestimate rebar’s stiffness, most probably due to the degree of undulation from braiding process.

Using polyethylene with excellent electrical property and chemical resistance as base material together
