2. What is Augmented reality?
• Augmented reality(AR) is the real-time use of information in the
form of text, graphics, audio and other virtual enhancement
integrated with real world objects. It is this “real world” element
that differentiates AR from virtual reality. AR integrates and adds
value to the users interaction with the real world, versus a
simulation.
4. HOW DOES AUGMENTED REALITY WORK :
AR can use depth sensors accelerometers cameras,
gyroscope and light sensors to collect data on the users
surroundings. They measure the distance to the objects, and overall
orientation in space. The data is then processed to show animated
in a real time and relevant location.
5. NEW TECHNNOLOGY THAT WAS USED IN AR:
Types of augmented reality:
o Marker based AR,
o Marker less AR,
o Location based AR
o Projection based AR.
Common software for building augmented reality:
AR Core
Apple AR Kit
Unity
6. Technologies Related to AR:
AR-compatible devices - These are smartphones and tablets that can run applications
with AR functionality. Smartphone makers would have a list of devices that are enabled
for AR. If not, Google has a page that lists every smartphone that can support its AR
Core.
AR glasses
AR contact lenses
AR helmets
7. Augmented Reality Use Cases:
Medical Training:
Civil Construction:
AR for Deaf and Hard-Hearing Individuals
Research and development
9. The Reality of Augmented Reality:
AR is now commplace , with millions of devices ready to devices ready to support it.
•There is acost issue
•AR enabled devices will in hefy tags
•Afford widespread implementation in civil construction ,entrprise and other
entity
Cons of Augmented Reality:
•REAL WORLD INTRUSION
•RISLY BEHAVIOURS
•PRIVACY AND SECURITY CONCERN
