The document discusses a music recommendation system project that uses content-based filtering and collaborative filtering techniques. Content-based filtering extracts features from songs to find similar songs based on acoustic content. Collaborative filtering matches users based on similar tastes and ratings to generate recommendations. The project has developed a website using Ruby on Rails for the frontend and Python for the backend. Current work involves completing the collaborative filtering approach and exploring query by humming algorithms.
The document lists 10 categories for nominations in 2010: 1) Person of the Year, 2) Publication of the Year, 3) Discovery of the Year, 4) Fight Club, 5) Mobility, 6) Special Nomination for TC, 7) Special Nomination for RT, 8) Special Nomination for RF, 9) History, and 10) Inspiration. Each category provides brief descriptions of the nominees without announcing the winners.
The document lists nominations for awards in 2012 in 7 categories: 1) Person of the Year, 2) Meeting of the Year, 3) Victory of the Year, 4) Innovation of the Year, 5) Presentation of the Year, 6) Opening of the Year, and 7) Inspiration. It then provides descriptions and photos for each category's nominees and past winners. The end suggests potential nominations for 2013, including Demino, Spring Smarty, a Trip to Hong Kong, DSPA, Seliger Summer School, a Schedule, Fall Smarty, and New Year's Eve on December 21st, 2013.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against mental illness and improve symptoms for those who already suffer from conditions like anxiety and depression.

27faces is a tool that uses online audience measurement to provide information about viewers of digital signage networks, including the number of potential viewers, how long they watch, their gender and age. It can be installed on any computer and offers statistics in the cloud without needing to be purchased, just rented. It provides insights for marketing and merchandising experts using digital signage.
The document discusses a music recommendation system being developed by group G6. It describes extracting audio features from music to create feature vectors for clustering songs and recommending similar songs. It also discusses using a seed song to generate automatic playlists and improving recommendations by incorporating user preferences, listening histories, and feedback. Limitations include lack of user data and the expense of clustering large feature vectors. Future work may include gathering implicit user data and improving the recommendation algorithm.
The document presents a no-reference algorithm for assessing the quality of images compressed with JPEG2000. It describes how the algorithm analyzes statistical properties of wavelet coefficients to estimate quality without an original image for comparison. The algorithm was tested on a dataset of images compressed at different ratios and its estimates of quality showed high correlation with mean opinion scores from human subjects. The no-reference quality assessment method provides an important alternative to full-reference metrics for practical applications.
The document proposes modified algorithms based on rank-order statistics and switching schemas for restoring digital images corrupted by salt-and-pepper noise and random valued impulse noise. It introduces the Modified Progressive Switching Median Filter (MPSM) which uses a noise detection step followed by a filtration procedure. For salt-and-pepper noise, MPSM achieves 1-2 dB higher PSNR than other filters. For random valued impulse noise, MPSM provides 0.5 dB higher PSNR than other algorithms.
This document provides an agenda for a presentation on the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML). The agenda includes an overview of PMML, how to construct a PMML document, an overview of XML Schema Definition (XSD) which is used to define the structure of PMML documents, how to read the PMML specification, and next steps. The presentation is intended for LatentView and contains examples of PMML, XSD, and how they are used together.
This document discusses poverty in India. It defines poverty and provides statistics on poverty rates. Some key facts presented include that as of 2005, 85.7% of the population lives on less than $2.50 per day and 27.5% were below the poverty line in 2004-2005. Rural poverty rates in some states are higher than in some of the world's poorest countries. The document also examines various causes of poverty in India such as British colonial policies, unemployment, population growth, and the caste system. It concludes by noting that poverty alleviation is expected to improve over the next 50 years as the middle class grows.
MATATAG CURRICULUM: ASSESSING THE READINESS OF ELEM. PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS I...NelTorrente
In this research, it concludes that while the readiness of teachers in Caloocan City to implement the MATATAG Curriculum is generally positive, targeted efforts in professional development, resource distribution, support networks, and comprehensive preparation can address the existing gaps and ensure successful curriculum implementation.
A workshop hosted by the South African Journal of Science aimed at postgraduate students and early career researchers with little or no experience in writing and publishing journal articles.

How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold MethodCeline George
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
This slide is special for master students (MIBS & MIFB) in UUM. Also useful for readers who are interested in the topic of contemporary Islamic banking.

How to Fix the Import Error in the Odoo 17Celine George
An import error occurs when a program fails to import a module or library, disrupting its execution. In languages like Python, this issue arises when the specified module cannot be found or accessed, hindering the program's functionality. Resolving import errors is crucial for maintaining smooth software operation and uninterrupted development processes.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
