Julie Dakers is a Relationship Manager for the Motsepe Foundation focusing on supporting women and youth entrepreneurs. She assesses over 2000 business applications annually and conducts site visits across South Africa. Her goal is to uplift disadvantaged communities by funding entrepreneurial and community development projects related to sanitation, education, etc. She has strong relationships with local NGOs and provides ongoing feedback to 26 Development Forums across South Africa and international organizations. Previously she was a learning facilitator specializing in entrepreneurship training, developing relevant curriculum and facilitating sessions nationally. She has extensive knowledge of the Zulu culture and language to better connect with participants.

Julie’s last position in early 2015 was as a Lead Learning Facilitator at Raizcorp Business Incubator
where she specialized in roll-out and facilitation nationally of learning interventions designed to
develop entrepreneurs.
She had an active anddynamicapproach to facilitationandcreatingrelevantcourse contentandhas
the ability to simplify learning material in order for her delegates to easily comprehend complex
learningsespeciallyinthe RuralorGrassRootsEntrepreneurialspace. Thiscoupledwithherextensive
knowledge of the Zulu culture and proficiency of the language helped her unlock knowledge and a
higher potential in her candidates.
Julie waspart of a successful teamthat workedwiththe IsimangalisoWetlands Parkto up-skill Rural
Entrepreneurstobetterthemselvesandassistthemtobe lessdependentondonorsponsorship.She
was alsoinvolvedincreatingthe Business Strategymaterial tobe facilitatedatthe dynamicsessions.
She was involvedincreatingaproductfor Social Entrepreneurshipforalarge International corporate
inthe Enterprise Developmentspace andhascreatedanddevelopedthe curriculumandfacilitatedall
the learning to the Social Entrepreneurs.
