A national strategic partnership between the Health and Social Care
Alliance Scotland, NHS Scotland, IRISS and public libraries was
established early 2017 including:
• Scottish Government
• Midlothian Council
• The Alliance
• NHS 24
• NHS Education for Scotland
• NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
• IRISS
Partnerships
During Self-Management Week in October 2017,
these organisations supported libraries to promote
their contribution to self-management which
included the creation of a health and care information
toolkit.
Getting the right information every time which would
help to support libraries in all sectors to build their
role in health literacy and self-management
Ayrshire & Arran
• Collaborative working across NHS A&A librarians, Public
health information service & Ayrshire Public libraries
• Local leaflet produces and shared across NHS and Public
libraries
• Communication toolkit to support Libraries to promote
available services
