Nexxus is a networking organization established in Scotland in 2003 to facilitate communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between life science organizations. It aims to connect and inform life sciences in Scotland and raise the profile of Scotland as a life science center of excellence. Scotland has the second largest life science cluster in the UK, with over 600 organizations employing around 30,000 people and generating £3 billion in turnover. Nexxus provides services like events, communications, and knowledge transfer to raise awareness of Scottish life science capabilities and foster collaboration between companies, academics, and the NHS.

The WSPCR was requested to organise a research masterclass for the Directors of Nursing from all the Welsh Health Boards on Friday 11th Sept. It was funded by the Health Minister and attended by the CNO. It also included the Head of the NISCHR and the manager of AHSC. The masterclass included the presentation of the Welsh Community Nurse Research Strategy which aims to raise the quality and quantity of research in Community Nursing in Wales. The workshop also generated further areas for research activity/priority.
