Eirin Haug: Since I use Stata daily and have to handle large amounts of data
conducting elaborate statistical analyses I thought it would be useful to attend a
course to learn about more sophisticated and effective ways of using Stata.

Sweta Tiwari recently published her first paper. Togetherwith her supervisor
she also made a video abstract of the paper: Association between diastolic
dysfunction and future atrial fibrillation in the Tromsø Study from 1994 to 2010.

Professor David Leon, from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK,
will visit Tromsø and give lectures, including the same talk as he recently did at the
NordicEPI meeting in Oslo; “The widespread decline in cardiovascular mortality:
a poorly understood triumph”. He is an very good lecturer so please use this
oppurtunity 23 –25th
of November.
For those of you who want to take the trip to Tromsø to attend: EPINOR will cover your
