Eirin Haug: Since I use Stata daily and have to han­dle large amounts of data
con­duct­ing elab­o­rate sta­tis­ti­cal analy­ses I thought it would be use­ful to attend a
course to learn about more sophis­ti­cated and effec­tive ways of using Stata.

At the annual meeting 24.September Dr. Kathrine Frey Frøslie gave a very
comprehensive lecture called -To explain or to predict. We hope you found
the meeting useful and hope to see all of you next year in September in
Bergen!

Hi friends!
Professor David Leon, from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK,
will visit Tromsø and give lectures, including the same talk as he recently did at the
NordicEPI meeting in Oslo; “The widespread decline in cardiovascular mortality:
a poorly understood triumph”. He is an very good lecturer so please use this
oppurtunity 23 –25th
of November.
For those of you who want to take the trip to Tromsø to attend: EPINOR will cover your
traveling expences, but not accomodation. Please send us a funding application.
