Law Updates:
 The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) has cleared six FDI
proposals envisaging foreign investment of Rs 1,810 crore, including
that of IIFL Holdings. The FIPB, however, rejected the proposal of
Volkswagen Finance for investment in treasury bills, government
securities, mutual funds and corporate debts.
 RBI officers to take mass leave today. Banking services across the
country and money markets maybe partially impacted due to a mass
casual leave planned by the 17,000 employees of the Reserve Bank of
India. However, RBI is likely to keep the RTGS (Real Time Gross
Settlement) and NEFT operational so that the banking services and
money market operations are not impacted.
 The CCEA approved an interest equalization scheme on pre and post
shipment rupee export credit with effect from April 1, 2015 for three
years at 3% per annum for all exports of small and medium enterprises
besides 416 specific tariff lines in agri processing, handloom,
handicrafts, jute, paper, ceramics, medical/scientific instruments and
auto components, among others.
