A new language school opened last Friday in Santa Pola, Spain. It is a modern building that will offer English, French, German, and Italian courses. Previously, residents had to travel to Alicante or Elche to study languages, but now they have an option in their own town. The school's headmistress said students are no longer prohibited from learning in Santa Pola.

The teachers have been selected by different exams and Sara Vergel is the new Headmistress in the school, and she said: " IT ISN´T PROHIBITED TO LEARN IN SANTA POLA". Yesterday, it was the first day and the students were very excited. Santa Pola is a fantastic tourist town and, now, many people must learn different languages for their jobs. They used to go to Alicante or Elche to study languages and now this situation has finished. There are four languages: English, French, German and Italian. 3. ROYAL WEDDINGS AHEAD By Yaiza This year we have booked two romantic dates with the European royalty: marriages of the princes William of England and Alberto of Monaco. These marriages will be very different because there a lot of differences like the origin of brides as well as the countries they come from, one former empire and one microstate. The marriage of William of England and Kate Middleton will be unaffected because these are difficult times. Therefore, the bride won’t use the traditional royal carriage. The wedding will take place next 29 April in the Abbey of Westminster. Bride’s father, Michel Middleton, will be the one responsible for accompanying the bride to the altar, while the prince will be accompanied by his brother, Henry. The marriage of Alberto de Monaco and Charlene will be a religious ceremony and will be followed by more than 4.000 guests. The wedding will take place next 2 July in the Grimaldi’s palace. 4. THE ELECTRIC DREAM By Vicente Two Spanish scientists of the Miguel Hernandez University have discovered the cheapest and easiest energy source until now. The two scientists worked to check if men had the ability to produce electricity and ,one month ago, in their laboratory, they descovered that ,when the man is sleeping, the brain produces enough electricity to charge a mobile phone, but they think that, in four months, the people in the city will be able to plug themselves to the electric net and work like a little nuclear power station while they sleep. They are making the first electric cars that will work with our dreams. It's great news for our planet and for sleepy people, too! 5. UNUSUAL BANK ROBBERY By Mar Last Friday, four teenagers about eight years raided the BBVA bank in Alicante city center city. The children had decided to rob the bank instead of going to school. They were classmates of the same school. It all began about midday, when the children finished their class, they went to their houses and then, caught their bicycles. They went to the bank and went into the bank shouting, " We just want 3,500 €" They were wearing bicycles helmets and sunglasses to hide their faces The customers and the employers couldn´t believe their eyes and thought it was a joke. The children continued shouting " We want money for a trip to Disney Land Paris". The bank director rang the police and the police called the children’s parents. In detail, the children carried gun toys. When it was all over, the bank director offered them the money for their trip, because he said that " it was the most interesting and amusing robbery that had ever happened to him" In the end, it was only a scare. 6. GOOD NEWS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE By Esther Jorquera Most of the news about climate change on TV, radio and newspapers predict a terrible future for humanity. However, in the last week two hopeful events have taken place. One of them is that 23 Members States of the EU have reached and agreement so as to help the most vulnerable countries, these are the small island states which set up AOSIS. The 23 European nations have committed to invest between 90 and 100 million dollars in adaptation programs, such us the clean energy development, in order to reduce their risks. The other news is related to the University of North California. A group of researchers of this University has spent the last 7 years investigating the amount of CO2 that has been absorbed by the Indic Ocean. The conclusion is that the quantity of absorbed gas has increased over the years. The reason: a typical microscopic organism from this region. Nowadays, its development is being studied. All in all, it’s clear that politicians, scientifics and citizens are aware of this issue and only with the collaboration of all of us the dire predicted future will be able to change. 7. THE ANDORRA NAVY ATTACK PARIS By Paco Last Friday Night, The Andorra Navy attacked the Eiffel Tower. Five helicopters and two boats arrived at the Siena river with forty soldiers and attacked Paris. The Eiffel Tower was stormed by ten soldiers and they had five hosts. The reasons were that The President of The France republic, Nicolas Sarkozy and her wife Carla Bruni hadn’t paid a parking car in the last visit Andorra city. At the moment, The President of Andorra and The NATO President are speaking to salve the problem diplomatically. 8. PCPI STUDENTS HAVE SUDDENLY BECOME CLEVER By Jose Students of PCPI ( Programa de Cualificacion Profesional Inicial in Spanish), have become clever in a short time. They have been able to understand The Big Bang or Universe Theory of Creation and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. The great lesson was taught by his teacher, who doesn’t want us to know him. This happened in Orihuela a few days ago. The teacher said to us that the students always went into classroom shouting, speaking loudly and too late but, that day, they arrived at the classroom on time and speaking in a proper way. “I couldn’t believe it!” said the teacher. That day, the students were found with a severe blow on the head by their parents. They didn’t know how it happened, they only remembered a strong pain. How long will it last?. 9. JURIES PREFER “HANDSOME” BY Rebeca Aparicio According to a study by the Stanford University, juries in the USA take into account the physical appearance when they decide the verdict or sentence. The study, which started in 2008, took three years of observation, data collection and analysis of the behavior of juries and the people accused. It shows that ugly people received 30% plus sentences than those who are beautiful or attractive. In addition, the people accused who are unattractive receive much longer sentences than the handsome ones. On the other hand it has shown that people who wear glasses get more favorable sentences because the jury feels they are smarter. So now many people believe that the famous picture which represents the Justicewith its eyes closed isn’t true because judges are influenced by beauty.
