3.1.1 Value Proposition
A company like us has multiple value propositions, as it serves several target customers in
different markets. We realize to develop and/or analyze a firm’s value proposition, we need
to understand why customers will choose to do business with the firm instead of another

view, we personalized every subscriber differently based on their personal data, points of
choice and the current product’s popularity. This personalization save their time and money
both.
We also offer them the largest collection of digital books without charging any money. Our
premium digital books and reports are also low at current market price from any other
website. We deliver our physical books with in right time with lower price tag.

more advantageous than other. Epath has its own strengths to rule over its competitors. They

 Lack of e-commerce management experience.
3. Opportunity:
Opportunities refer to favorable external factors that could give epath a competitive
advantage over its competitors. These factors will serve to exploit and highlight the
advantages to obtain the best possible outcome with proper execution. Some of epath’s

 Less competition in this niche market.
 Enriched distance education.
 Platform innovation.
 Prevention from being lost, stolen, or damaged.
 Capability to search within a book and across a collection of books.
13 | P a g e
4. Threats:
It refers to external factors that may prevent epath from achieving its objectives and goals.
These factors are beyond our control and if we ignore these threats our website can't make
progress. Some of the common threats for us are-
 Culture of print book readership.

 Emergence of new competitors.

17 | P a g e
3.2 Business Strategy
A business strategy is a set of plans for achieving superior long-term returns on the capital
invested in a business firm. A business strategy is therefore a plan for making profits in a
competitive environment over the long term.
Internet is a unique marketplace, Epath use this platform to buildup proper strategy for the
business. A successful e-commerce strategies involve using the Internet and mobile
platform to leverage and strengthen the business and to provide products and services your
competitors cannot copy (in the short term anyway). That means developing unique
products, proprietary content, distinguishing processes and personalized or customized
services and products.
Epath e-commerce business focus on two generic business model. They are-
1. Focus/ Niche Market
2. Cost Competition
3.2.1 Focus/ Niche Market
Niche means a distinct segment within the market, generally a targetable part of a market
where the customer demand is still unmet. An example of finding a niche in the market
successfully is to offer a product for sale in a geographical location where it was previously
unavailable.
Epath realize that, in this region the online digital books platform are so expensive or narrow
content providers. In Bangladesh, most online digital books sites provide nearly same and
low quality small collection of books. We see through this opportunity and try to operate
our online digital library at freemium basis with large collection of high quality digital
books.
3.2.2 Cost Competition
Like us, there are no other Bangladeshi e-commerce site. E-commerce business are not
bound by geographically where number of well-known digital books sites are there. But this
e-commerce sites are too expensive and they have narrow collection of our regional or
18 | P a g e
cultural books. There we, “Epath.com” comes to solve this both problem, where we provide
large collection of favorable digital books with a low subscription cost.
Our premium subscriber can subscribe for unlimited digital books for limited 1 month, 3
months, 6 months or 1 year at lowest cost than any other digital books site. There are also
an option for free subscribers to access the premium digital books by paying per premium
book. This per premium books access cost 20-50 tk. each and the subscriber access this book
for 6 months.
Epath also sales books with the reliable home delivery services at low price. Customer can
order other books which are not available in our website. This process take little bit more
time to delivery and cost based on books actual cost, shipping and other cost (if any).
3.3 B2C Business Model
B2C e-commerce or business-to-consumer e-commerce refers to online purchases between
a business and a consumer. An e-commerce website enables customers to shop like they do
in stores but by using an online catalog, selecting items for purchase and virtually checking
out.
Epath is one of the business to consumer business model. In B2C business model, Epath
continue mostly as a “Content Provider”. We also categorized under E-tailer as “Virtual
Merchant” where we sell physical books to our customer through our website and mobile
app.
19 | P a g e
3.3.1 Content Provider
Epath has wide verities of e-books, audio books and digital document collection in its server.
We provide our digital contents to our subscriber in freemium basis. We collect all our
digital document from different authentic sources, which is much more costly and hard to
collect for this region of area. Epath has authority to provide this e-commerce service. And
we do it more cost effectively to our subscriber at lower cost.
3.3.2 Virtual Merchant
As a virtual merchant, epath’s website sells books to the public via online transactions with
mobile payment, debit and credit card processing. The end result is a fully online experience
where consumers can virtually visit our sit and looking for their desired books with preview.
Then customer can order their books through website and receive their ordered via our
selected mail service with in a several days, all from the comfort of your personal computer
or our mobile app.
20 | P a g e
3.4 Payment system

online. Because of that the customers have to pay for their service through online base
payment systems. We have access with most of the popular online base payment system,
through this payment system they can pay their premium subscription and ordered books.
1. Credit Card & Debit Card
The most popular form of payment for e-commerce transactions is through credit cards and
debit cards. It is simple to use; the customer has to just enter their credit or debit card number
and date of expiry in the appropriate area on our web page. To improve the security system,
increased security measures, such as the use of a card verification number (CVN), have been
introduced to on-line credit card payments. Epath always keep secret of their subscriber’s
confidential information.
2. Mobile Payment
One of the latest ways of making online payments are through mobile phones. Instead of
using a credit card/ debit card or cash, consumer can paid through mobile base banking
payment system. Epath accept mobile payment system, where consumer can payment

Epath is an online based e-commerce business. Like all other ecommerce business, we have some opportunities and share some common threats. Cost Competition 3.2.1 Focus/ Niche Market Niche means a distinct segment within the market, generally a targetable part of a market where the customer demand is still unmet. An example of finding a niche in the market successfully is to offer a product for sale in a geographical location where it was previously unavailable. Epath realize that, in this region the online digital books platform are so expensive or narrow content providers. In Bangladesh, most online digital books sites provide nearly same and low quality small collection of books. We see through this opportunity and try to operate our online digital library at freemium basis with large collection of high quality digital books. 3.2.2 Cost Competition Like us, there are no other Bangladeshi e-commerce site. E-commerce business are not bound by geographically where number of well-known digital books sites are there.
