The New Ambassadors Program Supporting our Children By Connecting our Community  One Person at A Time!
The Program Purpose A grass-roots group of volunteers (ambassadors) who are interested in educating the community about Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel and the role it plays in helping disadvantaged youth within our community Working within their circle of influence, each ambassador helps the agency identify and build relationships with businesses and resident groups who may be interested in becoming potential volunteers and/or donor partners (either in-kind or financial donations)
What’s In It for You? In addition to learning about BBBSP there’s an opportunity to… Build networking relationships with like-minded citizens and business people Strengthen your community Participate in strategic partnership development  Connect with BBBSP’s Network  Participate in Corporate Visits
How Does it Work? Ambassadors learn about youth related developments and agency programs at the monthly meetings  At these meetings they connect with other like-minded individuals to network, develop relationships and swap stories Ambassadors share agency information with people in their circle of influence and invite them to attend an information meeting or get involved
Ambassador Requirements   Minimum - one connection a month Learn about BBBSP, it’s programs and purpose Work on leveraging personal connections to build potential relationships for BBBSP This tiered program is designed to accommodate different individuals time constraints and business interests
Entry Level Ambassador Requirements Complete volunteer and confidentiality forms Must attend two consecutive monthly ambassador meetings Must invite and have 4 registered guests attend information meeting per annum  Benefits Move to the Junior Level
Junior Level Ambassador Requirements Receive & submit clear police check Attend 2 additional ambassador meetings Must have 5 registered guests attend information meeting per annum  Work on 3-4 donor relationships per annum Must recruit 1donor/mentor/ambassador in first year and 2 per annum in subsequent years  Benefits Access to the Ambassador's Business Portal
Intermediate Level Ambassador Requirements Attend all 7 core mentoring program  - ambassador meetings Must have 5 registered guests attend information meeting per annum  Mentor a junior level ambassador  Working on 6 donor relationships per annum  Recruit 3 donor/mentor/ambassador per annum Benefits Participate in Corporate Visits
Senior Level Ambassador Requirements Attend all 7 core mentoring program  - ambassador meetings 4 registered guests attend information meeting per annum  Mentor an intermediate level ambassador   Working on 8 donor relationships per annum  Recruit 5 donor/mentor/ambassadors per annum Benefits Join Advisory Committee
