CELLS IN CUSTOMERS HANDS – BBB MODEL CREATION
Highlights Researchers using our Human Pericytes, Brain
Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HBMES) and Astrocytes to build a
static 3-D Blood-Brain Barrier Model. Ece Bayir, M. Mert Celtikoglu,
Aylin Sendemira. The use of bacterial cellulose as a basement
membrane improves the plausibility of the static in vitro blood-brain
barrier model. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2018.12.257.
Image: Pericytes, HBMECS, and Astrocytes 5 days after culturing. Live cells (green) and dead
cells (red).
The investigators concluded, "Caffeine and sucrose permeability
values obtained from all models were close to literature data and
physiological values."
FBS AND OTHER SERA
We currently offer 3 different lines of regular FBS - Premium, Standard, and
Qualified. All 3 lines are available in both U.S. origin and Imported origin (USDA
approved). The lines of FBS are differentiated by the endotoxin levels in each lot.
• Our Premium FBS endotoxin specification is ≤10 EU/mL.
• Our Standard FBS endotoxin specification is ≤30 EU/mL.
• Our Qualified FBS endotoxin specification is ‘As reported’
Chicken, Donkey, Horse and Rabbit Serum available upon request
ENGINEERED HYDRO COLLAGELS
Neuromics’ 3-D HUVEC
Model
Our CollaGel Hydrogel matches the softness of the body's
tissues. It can be used to culture neurons in an
environment as soft as the brain, cardiomyocytes on the
stiffness of muscle, or whatever your cells' tissue of origin
may be. In a 3D tissue model, our CollaGel Hydrogel helps
the cells build stronger basement membranes. Collagel
Hyrogels can be used for: Stem Cell Behavior Studies
Fibrosis Studies, Cosmetic Toxicology, Hepatocyte Assays,
Neuronal Branching, Wound Healing Assays, Cell Invasion
Assays, Migration Assays, Cancer Cell Phenotyping and
Bioprinting. https://www.neuromics.com/3-d-cell-based-
