Ruth Leuillette provided an overview of Network Rail and the Oxford Corridor project. Network Rail maintains and improves the UK's rail infrastructure and spends £1.84m daily on operations. The Oxford Corridor project aims to increase capacity and reduce journey times through upgrades including new track layouts, signaling improvements, and structures work. Jonathan Davies then discussed modular switches and crossings that improve safety and efficiency compared to traditional methods. He also presented Network Rail's high output techniques for track renewals, electrification, and signaling that increase safety, quality and productivity.
