SXSW is an event where 30 ambassadors took a bus and participated in panels, trade shows, and networking events. They made over 900 personal connections through networking and card exchanges. It was an exhausting event but they left their mark. Afterward there was press and social media coverage of the event. The CEO of the Downtown Development District said cities that can offer a desirable physical environment and amenities have a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining creative individuals and firms.
