Take your child on a nature walk to find different colored leaves and collect samples. Back home, make a leaf collage by gluing the leaves onto construction paper to foster nature and art skills. Another activity is giving children paintbrushes and a container of water to "paint" designs on surfaces outside which will disappear, teaching drawing and self-expression while enjoying the process.

1. Take your child on a nature walk. See how many different colors
you can find. Collect leaves that have fallen from the trees. When you get

2. Begin by filling a container with a little water. Take your child outside, give
him/her a paintbrush and show them how to dip the brush into the bucket and
“paint” on the ground (or a wall, or a friend). The water will make a design until
