Natural resources are raw materials found in nature that humans use and modify for our benefit. They include biotic resources from living things like plants, animals, and fossil fuels. Abiotic resources come from nonliving sources like air, water, minerals, and sunlight. Renewable resources can replenish within our lifetime, such as plants, animals, sunlight, and wind. Nonrenewable resources have limited supplies, like fossil fuels and nuclear fuels that do not renew within our lifetime. Natural resources provide many products and services including food, clothing, energy, and materials.
