This document lists the names of ordinary people who were the first to respond to the radioactive fire at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant following the explosion on April 26, 1986. It provides over 30 names of workers, firefighters, engineers and others who fought the fire and died in the ensuing weeks from radiation exposure suffered during the disaster. The document calls for these individuals who sacrificed their lives to be remembered.

• The 26 of April a terrible technogene catastrophe broke
the world into two periods – before and after. It had
dramatic impact not only on Ukraine but also on the rest
of Europe as radioactive cloud brought its killing dust to
many countries thousands kilometers from the epicenter.
• These ordinary people were the first to fight with the
radioactive fire at the Chornobyl atomic power station.
They all died in a few weeks after the explosion.
