[NOTES] When Your Community Does the Blogging | MuseumNext IndyLori Byrd-McDevitt
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis started a community blogging program to involve the local community in contributing content to the museum's blog. They began by having families blog about their experiences with a new exhibit over several months. This pilot was successful, leading to the creation of a formal "Blog Ambassadors" program where local bloggers are selected to each blog once a month about how museum visits inspire learning and activities at home. The goals are to provide insights into what audiences experience and think, as well as show radical trust in the community's perspectives. Guidelines help structure contributions while allowing authentic voices. The museum gains benefits from community blogging without direct compensation, building goodwill through other appreciation efforts instead.

The document discusses how guitars produce sound through vibration. It explains that when guitar strings are plucked, they vibrate and transfer that vibration energy through the bridge to the soundboard of the guitar body. This causes the soundboard and air inside the guitar body to vibrate, producing sound waves. The sound then exits through the sound hole. Electric guitars use pickups to convert the string vibrations into electrical signals that are amplified.
Bernie Goldbach teaches creative students how to communicate through media. He needs to ensure graduates can populate digital channels with creative work and collaborate across disciplines. His research looks at unlocking student creativity through questioning classrooms, community artifacts, and Jason Theodor's Creative Method of action, connection, and deviation. The method promotes simple drafting, sharing, unexpected results, and failing well through a journey of experimentation.

Getting SEO's at the Adult Table with Search Infused MarketingWil Reynolds
SEO's for years have been sat at the little boys and girls table, when big marketing decisions were being made. Well this is your jump start of ideas how to help people in various departments, that often get invited to the adults table - breaking down silos across your organization or across agencies. When budgets are discussed, SEO is never there, when brand campaigns are discussed, we are never there, social, marketing, email, etc so often we are not invited, and I think if we start being better helpers across our organization, using our swiss army knives of tools to help others, we will start getting those invites - getting search more visibility.

Even after being blocked, a user may still be able to find the blocking user through Twitter lists or external tools for a few days. If someone feels threatened on a social network, they should consider making their account private or protected.
In Rem Injunctions: Case of Website BlockingMartin Husovec
This document discusses website blocking injunctions in the EU that allow right holders to seek injunctions against internet access providers to block access to websites hosting infringing content. While internet providers are typically not directly liable, they are seen as being in the best position technically to stop infringements. The document outlines the legal basis for these "in rem" injunctions and questions whether they improperly extend property rights without regard for the website operators' rights or potential for abuse. Industry representatives argue these injunctions can damage businesses even when intermediaries are not liable. In conclusion, the document suggests that if this new injunction paradigm is legitimate, limitations should be placed both on rights' scope and their enforcement scope.
