APPLIED Baja SAE: Designing and Building an off-road vehicle – I work with a team to design
EXPERIENCE and build an off-road vehicle for 3 competitions each spring consisting of dynamic events and a
four hour endurance race designed to break the vehicle. I am the captain of chassis development,
and am currently redesigning the rear trailing arms. Throughout the season, I gained a lot of
SolidWorks analysis and design experience; along with product testing and problem solving
practice. I also spent hours in the shop learning how to use machinery including the mill and lathe,
and skills such as laying carbon fiber body panels, and notching tubes.
