Our music video narrative 
by Grace Murray
Our music video was originally supposed to be based on one character, 
that one character being Daisy Egerton. The narrative was originally 
supposed to be about one girl enjoying a summer full of different 
activities with her friends. For example Vfestival, Ynot and a trip to 
Swaziland in Africa. 
The themes are about having fun and enjoying things whilst you can. We 
felt that by filming the music video in a handheld style it would add a personal 
Level to our music video.
We then made the decision to make our music video about a group of 
girls instead of just one. We did this for practicality reasons because of the lack 
of footage we had of just Daisy, and also because if we wanted to create a fun 
atmosphere it would have to include a group of friends and their summer 
together instead of just one persons journey throughout summer. By including 
more then one person we had a larger variety of footage to work with. 
When we suggested this idea to our class they thought it was a great idea as it 
introduces relationships and will reach out to more people as they will be able 
to enjoy our video as they reconcile on their own memories of their own 
summer experiences.
We wanted our music video to portray elements of fun. To show our 
Audience a group of friends that spent a summer together doing 
exciting things. Whether to get audience attention from people 
Using our video to remember their own times or using our video to be 
inspired by and use for ideas to add to their own future summers.
This video though its real creation reason was for my A level music video, is a video 
that will always bring back memories for me. Its formation was inspired by 
watching home movies as it brings a smile to the face of anyone watching. It has been 
agreed by all audience feedback we have had that the impression that comes 
across from the shaky filming or the too quick movement is that it is one very 
organised and specifically summer based home video.
The whole video is based on a group p of girls that spend their summer 
Together at festivals and travelling around Africa together. Our video is 
meant to make you smile and feel happy about the idea of summer and for 
the ideas of having such a fun summer. 
it isn't supposed to look professional, its supposed to look like someone 
has filmed what's going on just because they happen to have their phone 
on them.
