Namunu Translator is an instant English to Sinhala word translator application for Windows. It was developed to provide a more convenient translation solution than manually searching dictionaries. The application works in real-time across Microsoft Office, web browsers, PDF readers and text editors. Version 2.0 included an offline database of 149,742 words, hotkey customization, English pronunciation, and automatic updates. Users can translate words by double clicking and using a hotkey combination. The developers aim to expand Namunu to mobile platforms and incorporate machine learning to help users interactively learn new words through puzzles.
