This document discusses how Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) can best support sustainable transport development in developing countries. It suggests NAMAs should take an integrated approach, track multiple benefits, and include minimum requirements for capacity building, technology transfer, and attracting appropriate public and private finance packages. It also distinguishes between supported and non-supported NAMAs and opportunities for input to climate change negotiations.
