An experienced dermatologist specializing in Mohs surgery, Stephen Romagnolo, MD, treats patients at the Center for Dermatology and Skin Surgery in Florida. Besides his medical practice, he engages in medical research and gives presentations at medical conferences. Dr. Stephen Romagnolo was invited as a guest speaker at the inaugural meeting of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners to share his insights about dermatologic surgery. Founded by Dr. Debra Shelby in 2011, the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (NADNP) aims to improve dermatology care through the implementation of advanced practices. The organization also promotes the professional development of nurse practitioners in the dermatology field. In 2020, NADNP announced that it is taking applications for its Dermatology Post-Masters Program, which is open to qualified nurses as well as student nurses. Developed in collaboration with CoreMedSource, the program consists of a dermatology core curriculum in addition to access to live videos of dermatological procedures and case studies. Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a certificate issued by NADNP.
