 Dr. Erin Gardner is the director and sole physician at
Dermatology Specialists of Saint Louis, a
comprehensive medical dermatology practice with a
special focus on skin cancer care. Dr. Erin Gardner
also holds membership with the Dermatology
Foundation, a nonprofit organization offering research
support for the next generation of dermatology
teachers and researchers.
Through its Research Awards Program, the
Dermatology Foundation (DF) presents a wide range
of research awards for dermatology professionals in
the early stage of their academic careers. The DF
Research Awards Program stresses the importance of
research that improves patient care and benefits the
dermatology community as a whole.

3. Dermatology Foundation
 Thanks to the financial support provided by the
Dermatology Foundation, research award
recipients can work to become expert teachers
and investigators.
To qualify for a research award with the
Dermatology Foundation, candidates must
conduct a project in conjunction with a department
of dermatology in the United States. Applications
must be completed and submitted by a to-be-
determined date in October, at which time they will
be reviewed by the DF Medical and Scientific
Committee.
