Analysis of baudrillard, simulacrum and simulation
Jean Baudrillard was a French sociologist and philosopher known for his theories on simulacra and simulation. These practitioners have developed their own form of psychogeography which responds to the complexity of postmodern space in different ways. Tina’s lecture will tease out some of these motifs and will demonstrate how they have been incorporated into the various methodologies of the New Psychogeography.

My Work - Photographers
- 2. Eugenia Loli’ s photographs involve her taking photograph with people with a narrative scene in the background in order to express a greater meaning. She digitally manipulates vintage photos to create collages with vaguely dark undertones. Loli uses bold, focal images on rich and often surprising backdrops to grab the viewer’s attention. Loli is inspired by surrealism and modern collagists and uses her work to convey sociopolitical and personal issues she believes in. Her titles allow viewers to understand the narrative behind her work.
- 3. Nicholas Lockyer involves human and unrecognisable shapes during metamorphosis. Lockyer uses undefined human forms, cuts them up and juxtaposes them to create new world creatures and enviroments Lockyer ‘s work explores the relationship between the point of digitalization in today’s society, Trash Cinema and lowbrow ephemera culture that exists outside the digital world and the themes of primitivism, ritualism, mutation and attitudes towards death. It resonates with humanity’s anxiety bout their own reflection, in a world so obsesses with the ideal body.
