My take on marketing
                                     By Amir Nasiri

After many years of experience in Marketing and reading so many books on this subject I
wanted to put Marketing in my own perspectives.

Marketing is not just sales or advertising; they are just component of Marketing.

Marketing is a combination of Science and Art. It is the science of capturing people's
imaginations and like an artist you deliver the image of that imagination.

I compare a good marketing plan and strategy to a good wine.

It requires both the science and the art of the marketing manager to deliver it.

A wine maker uses its trained palette, plus its knowledge and expertise with many years of
experience into making an elegant wine. The forces of nature water, earth and sun play a
great role in making a good wine.

Marketing is the same way it requires the understanding of people psychology, sociology
and using the science to extrapolate that information into results.

I always believed that marketing should be the core of any business because that is where
the connection between internal and external forces is made. Marketing is bridge between
know and unknown between R&D and Sales; between Accounting and IT.
