2. WHAT IS THE BEST STRATEGY TO
ENSURE THAT A BUSINESS MEETING
CAN EFFECTIVELY ACHIEVE ITS
GOALS?
3. STRATEGIES NEED TO BE ADAPTED
DEPENDING OF:
•The kind of business you work at.
• People that integrate the team.
• And the purpose of your strategy.
4. BUT, THERE ARE SOME THINGS IN
BUSINESS MEETINGS THAT YOU MUST
TAKE IN TO ACCOUNT ALWAYS…
6. Be Prepared and set
the meeting objective.
The right time to
everything.
Make it dynamic.
7. BE PREPARED AND SET THE
MEETING OBJECTIVE.
1.Before you call a meeting you must have a concrete
reason that you already study. You should have numbers,
examples of the situation that is going on and
hypothesis (to know why that good/bad situation
happened in order to change it or continue doing it).
2. You must set the objectives of the meeting and an
agenda in order to focus on them and achieve them.
8. THE RIGHT TIME TO EVERYTHING.
1. Be punctual: start and finish the meeting on time.
2. Choose a time of the day that is not near lunch time.
3. People in a meeting should have a maximum time to talk. This will
allows everyone in the meeting could be able to speak and express
themselves.
4. Rein in hijackers: when someone tries to hijack the agenda Katz in
a Forbes article suggests the leader say, "Thank you for bringing up
this issue. It's clearly important. I'd like to check with the committee
whether it's OK if we table that point until we finish with the other
items on our agenda."
9. MAKE IT DYNAMIC.
1.Allow people talk and listen.
2. Mike Templeman in a Forbes article suggested to bring a ball that
can be thrown. The person with the ball will be the one that has
permission to talk.
