This document discusses the importance of evangelism and spreading the gospel. It defines evangelism as spreading the Christian gospel through preaching or witnessing, as commanded in Mark 16:15. It encourages Christians to recognize their role in fulfilling the great mission of spreading the gospel to all people. While not all will respond with obedience, God has commanded us to preach the gospel to every creature. The document provides tips on how to evangelize through using opportunities to share verbally or with materials, using abilities to sow, plant, teach, or follow up, and accommodating one's life to serve and identify with others in order to win them to Christ.
This document discusses the vision for Church360, which aims to create missional churches focused on transforming lives and spreading the gospel message. It emphasizes developing an attractive ethos inspired by love, establishing irresistible examples of life transformation, and creating a 360 degree echo of the gospel message spreading from believers to both nearby and distant lands. The ultimate goal is glorifying God by finishing the task of reaching all people with the gospel through intentionally developing missionaries and living as previews of God's coming kingdom.
Great Ambassadors of Christ Youth World Outreach (GAMOCY) is a non-denominational youth ministry committed to saving souls and spreading the gospel worldwide. Its vision is to lift up Christ and draw people to him, while its mission includes winning lost souls, spreading gospel truth, raising men and women for God's work, and demonstrating God's love. GAMOCY's programs include anniversary celebrations, conferences, camp meetings, and prayer festivals to further its mission.
The document discusses moving a church from focusing on entertainment to empowerment. It notes that Jesus sent his disciples out two by two to preach, heal, and cast out demons. The church should train disciples, not just consumers, and empower Christians to point people to Christ rather than just entertaining the crowd. Christians should know and help their neighbors as part of living missionally.
In the Gospel of John, we are told that Andrew met Jesus, with that burning zeal went and found his brother Simon Peter and brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John, but you shall be called Cephas". What did Jesus saw in Peter? What does Jesus sees in you today? How does one keep the flame alive? In what ways do I share or give testimony of the love of Jesus to others? As leaders, we are to seek Him, receive Him, know Him, love Him, serve Him and be like Him, you know….. it’s all about Jesus.

The document provides commentary and discussion on passages from Exodus 15-20 and 32-34 from the Old Testament that recount events after the Israelites' exodus from Egypt. It discusses their journey in the wilderness, God providing manna and quail for sustenance, and establishing rules around gathering and eating manna. The manna is presented as a similitude of Jesus Christ. The document encourages pondering lessons from the Israelites' experiences and murmuring against God, and closing thoughts emphasize the need to not forget our relationship with God and inquire of Him rather than presume to give Him counsel.
After John the Baptist was imprisoned, Jesus went to Galilee proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. He said the time had come and the kingdom of God was near, calling people to repent and believe the good news. Jesus preached about the kingdom of God, which meant the rule and reign of God over people's lives. He quoted scripture about bringing good news to the poor, freedom to prisoners, recovery of sight to the blind, and releasing the oppressed. Jesus was given all authority in heaven and earth and commanded his followers to go and make disciples by baptizing them and teaching them to obey all he had commanded.
Barnabas was known for encouraging others through challenging times of sin and difficulties in life. The story of Joseph Barnabas from the Bible illustrates how he encouraged the apostles, brought Mark to the apostles, and exhorted a church to remain faithful to God. The document encourages the reader to be like Barnabas and provide encouragement to overcome challenges.

This document discusses authenticity and honesty. It argues that biblical authenticity is focused on others rather than oneself. It also discusses how society often "dumbs down" our true identity. The document provides several Bible passages encouraging believers to 1) be honest in all dealings, 2) be real about speaking the truth in love while building others up, and 3) be open about struggles and weaknesses, using discretion. Overall, it promotes authenticity through honesty, openness about struggles, and discretion, with the goal of helping and building up others.
God's ability and faith in Him will manifest one's inheritance. Faith is required for God to deliver desires. God will mentor children and protect inheritance. Maintaining focus on Jesus brings peace, which is prosperity. Faith promises God overrides curses and blesses families through positive words. While Adam violated God's word bringing curse, God's blessing can reverse any curse. The kingdom of God operates on truth above natural realm operating on facts. Those with violent faith will forcibly take their manifestations, as faith provides strength.
This document discusses how Easter is about the empty tomb of Jesus and his post-resurrection appearances according to scripture. It argues that emptiness can be a positive thing that allows for preparation, grieving, healing, assessment, risk-taking, surrender, and hope. Each stage of Jesus' story involved emptying himself, and emptiness can motivate change and lead to new life through yielding and being filled.

What is the Bible for you? is it making any sense to you as you go through life's many challenges? This short presentation seeks to guide us as we launch ourselves in making good life principle based on the Bible.
The document summarizes passages from 1 Nephi chapters 18-22 and provides context about the times of Isaiah, the Nephites, and modern revelation. It notes that during Isaiah's time and the Nephite record, the people struggled with idolatry and unrighteousness which led to spiritual and political problems. It also references warnings from modern prophets about prosperity leading to false gods and coming tribulations. The conclusion encourages reflecting on how to apply scriptural lessons to one's own life.
This document discusses a passage from the Bible about a Roman centurion who showed great faith in Jesus. It summarizes that the centurion loved his servant, was humble despite his high status as a centurion, and had a deep faith and understanding of Jesus' authority. In contrast, the people of Nazareth, who knew Jesus personally, did not believe in him despite having many advantages over the centurion in their knowledge of God. The document concludes that modern Christians also have many advantages but have not used them to spread the gospel or gain knowledge of God.
Focusing on God’s presence reveals the purpose He has for your life. Many things can distract us from keeping our focus on Jesus, but He is the perfect example and teacher of unwavering focus.
This document provides tips for doubling the size of a class within a year through consistent teaching, invitations to fellowship, and prioritizing ministry. It emphasizes using stories, questions, and proverbs to engage students during lessons. Growing classes through reproduction requires saying goodbye to friends but keeping core relationships together. Sustained growth may require dividing large groups, though timing is important to maintain maturity. Doubling teachers are not inherently better but embrace growth and division with joy.
The document discusses spiritual discipline and focusing on spiritual growth. It asks what the reader wants to do most spiritually, noting they should forget past mistakes and focus on spiritual goals ahead. It acknowledges that people can lose focus, then asks what might be stopping the reader from spiritual growth. It suggests finding and acting on spiritual excellence through meditation, as opposed to dwelling on past failures or distractions from spiritual progress.

This document outlines 7 habits of great teaching: 1) Make contact and establish common interests with students to peek their spiritual interest. 2) Do not move too quickly or condemn students unnecessarily, stick to the main issue and confront issues directly.
This document discusses the importance of passion in teaching and learning. It advocates using passion to secure students' hearts by hearing them, empowering them, cultivating their audacity, making lessons relevant, and telling their stories. Various quotes are provided to support pursuing passion and one's potential. The document promotes sharing resources on passion-driven teaching and learning through social media hashtags and searching for the authors' names and website.
The document discusses 4 spiritual disciplines: understanding, moving self, thinking differently, and planning. It notes that understanding requires being willing, wanting it, and seeking it. Moving self means moving yourself out of the way according to Bible verses. Thinking differently involves thinking on things like Philippians 4:8 describes and being humble. Planning refers to the tower principle from Luke and involves counting the cost. The overall message is that spiritual growth involves these 4 disciplines of understanding, self-reflection, perspective, and intention.
Heaven is described as a place of great joy, rest, peace, righteousness, glory and God. It is portrayed as our true home and where our hearts and treasures will ultimately lie. The document encourages running the race of life with endurance, laying aside what might slow us down, so that we may receive the prize of an imperishable wreath in heaven. Heaven is presented as a place we hope to see each other again after this life.
This lesson is the first in a series about "Work" - both a physical perspective and a spiritual perspective. This lesson primarily deals with the Bible foundations to work and discusses the question, "How should we view work?"
What I Learned about Evangelism from a SalesmanChris Gallagher
This document discusses four lessons about evangelism that the author learned from a salesman. The lessons are: (1) some people will not be receptive no matter what you do; (2) some people will not participate at all; (3) perseverance is important as your message can reach some people over time; and (4) if you share your message widely enough, some people will be receptive to it. The document emphasizes having the right mindset and continuing to spread your message despite rejections or lack of interest from some.

Topic 1b Gospel Matters - Great Commission.pdfS Meyer
The document discusses Jesus' Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20. It summarizes the commission in three parts: 1) Jesus has all authority, 2) Disciples are commanded to go and make disciples of all nations, 3) Disciples should baptize new believers and teach them to obey all of Jesus' commands. The document emphasizes that disciples should make new disciples by following Jesus' example of investing in a few teachable people and then sending them out to continue the work.
Jesus tells his disciples that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him. He commands them to go and make disciples of all nations by baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He also instructs them to teach these new disciples to obey all of Jesus' commands. Jesus promises that he will be with the disciples always until the end of the age.
Jesus asks his disciples who others say he is and who they say he is. Peter correctly identifies Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus warns them not to tell others yet of his identity. He predicts his death, causing Peter to rebuke him. Jesus tells his followers they must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him in order to save their souls.

This document outlines a Sunday school lesson on the Christian missionary. It discusses the biblical basis for missionary work in Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15. It covers three main points: 1) the relationship between missionaries and home support, drawing lessons from 1 Corinthians, 2) lessons from the Macedonian and Philippians churches' support of missionaries, and 3) how individuals can be personally involved in missions through supporting missionaries, as seen in biblical examples. The overall message is that while not all Christians can be physical missionaries, all should be involved directly or indirectly through supporting mission work.

This document provides a summary of a sermon given on warnings against the prosperity gospel based on 1 Timothy 6:3-19. The sermon discusses how false teachers in the Ephesus church were teaching that godliness could be used as a means to financial gain, known as the prosperity gospel. It outlines some key characteristics of this false teaching, including a confusion between Old and New Testament promises, an emphasis on earthly rather than eternal rewards, and the idea that positive confession can manipulate God. The sermon warns that the prosperity gospel continues today through movements like the Word of Faith movement and preachers who claim believers can obtain wealth and health through faith. It concludes by explaining why the prosperity gospel remains popular but is contrary to

THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL
1.A must for all believers
2. The message is simple
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel 1Corinthians 9:16
Introduction
•We were saved through the gospel (1 Cor 15:1, 2a)
•Jesus started his ministry with preaching (Mk 1:9-14)
•He ended by commissioning his disciple to do likewise (Matt 28:18-20)
•This is a strong indicator of the value he places on preaching the gospel.
Conclusion
•Believers should be zealous in preaching as our Lord Jesus did
•He assures us of greater works (Jn 14:12) and that he‘ll be with us always (Matt 28:20)
This document discusses church and Christianity from multiple perspectives. It begins by asking if the reader is a follower or Christian and attends church. It then shares two bible passages where Jesus tells his disciples to make disciples of all nations and teach them his commands. The document notes some disadvantages of church, including having the wrong goal of just attending rather than spiritual growth. It shares a bible quote about pursuing perfection in Christ. Overall, the document examines the role and purpose of church from Jesus' perspective through various quotes and perspectives.
The document discusses the key elements that must be present in a disciple of Christ. It begins by stating that becoming a disciple starts with a decision to follow Christ and continues with ongoing decisions. It emphasizes that disciples receive instruction from Jesus' teachings and must step out in action by doing what Jesus commanded, such as healing, preaching, and making other disciples. True commitment requires taking up one's cross daily despite challenges. Disciples must also increase their faith through believing God can do anything and find strength through God during difficulties. With power from the Holy Spirit and God, and motivated by love, disciples can do greater works than Jesus and will be identified by their love for one another.
EVANGELISM 101: Lesson 1 - Biblical Foundations of EvangelismFrancis Hernandez
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Romans 10:13-15)
"It (Evangelism) comes from the same Greek word for gospel (euangelion) and means, literally, “gospeling.” When we evangelize we are “gospeling” — we are spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ." - https://www.ligonier.org/learn/devotionals/what-evangelism/
Every Christian is called to do the divine task of evangelism. Evangelism is a task not just for the select churches, or for the evangelists or pastors. This is Lesson 1 of EVANGELISM 101 Series. Given last April 23, 2021 at HOPE Christian Fellowship in Guinobatan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines by Ptr. Francis S. Hernandez.

2017-01-15: Viral - How to Share The GospelCompassChurch
This document provides guidance on how to share the gospel with others. It recommends being real about one's own faith journey, loving people through building relationships, acting courageously like Jesus did, and being clear in the message. It suggests using invitational, intellectual or testimonial approaches. Specific techniques mentioned include the bridge illustration, contrasting "do" versus "done", and explaining the God-Us-Christ-You relationship. Biblical passages provided support the principles of following Jesus' command to make disciples, sharing one's life with others through love, and reasoning with people about faith.
The document summarizes a presentation by Dr. Peter Hammond on the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20. It discusses several key points:
1) The Great Commission contains Jesus' authority over all things, a command to make disciples of all nations through baptism and teaching obedience to Jesus' commands, and a promise that Jesus will be with believers always.
2) Believers are called to do more than share the gospel - they must proclaim Jesus' lordship over all areas of life and make disciples at every level of society from individuals to nations.
3) Though the task seems impossible, Jesus promises power through the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Commission, as seen when the disciples
The document is a sermon from First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi discussing Baptist beliefs. It begins by emphasizing that the glory of God should be the top priority in all things. The sermon then reviews the book of 2 Timothy, noting that Paul encouraged Timothy to guard the gospel and preach it despite suffering. It discusses why sound doctrine is important and reviews several Baptist creeds and statements of faith. The sermon outlines the basic Baptist beliefs using the acronym BAPTIST, explaining each letter. It closes by emphasizing that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
The document is a study guide for a life group on the topic of fulfilling the mission given by Jesus in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20. It discusses Jesus giving his disciples authority and commanding them to make disciples of all nations by baptizing people and teaching them to obey Jesus' commands. The study guide examines how Christians today can look for more opportunities to be involved in evangelism and encourages discipleship rather than just conversion. It suggests that life groups and home settings may be better for connecting with God and each other than just attending services, and that prayer is important to evangelism by opening doors and opportunities to lead people to Jesus.
In "Looking at the Big Picture" we look at what life is all about according to the Bible by looking at Jesus, the gospel, the church and the mission of the church. This teaching is the introduction to the gospel series "Growing Deep in the Gospel".
The document provides announcements for various church events at the First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi, including prayer visits to church members' homes, a Sunday school class for those with chronic coughs, a men's conference, a banquet honoring waiters and waitresses, a luncheon for young professionals, and plans for Friend Day. It also includes the scripture passage Matthew 28:1-10 and a commentary on the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and what it means for believers. The resurrection is the central event of Christianity and guarantees believers' hope of resurrection as well.
The document discusses the biblical mandate for Christians to engage in evangelism. It defines key terms like soteriology and provides quotes from church leaders emphasizing the importance of evangelism. Resources are recommended for further learning on the topic.
Will we be Able to Fulfill the Great Commission in our Generation?Peter Hammond
This document discusses the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ to his followers to make disciples of all nations. It argues that the task seems impossible but that Jesus promised power and presence to fulfill it. It provides examples of pioneering missionaries from the 19th century who were willing to make great sacrifices and face opposition and danger out of their belief that God would ensure ultimate victory in completing the Great Commission. The document aims to inspire readers to have the same optimistic faith and commitment to fulfilling Christ's command to spread the gospel worldwide.
This lesson was presented at the Gadsden Church of Christ as a result of the Supreme Court decision regarding same sex marriage.

The document provides guidance on how to become a person of prayer. It begins with Jesus' model prayer from the book of Matthew. It then defines prayer as communication with God where one requests things from God, praises God, and addresses God. It encourages meditating on God and prioritizing his word. It advises talking to God daily by sharing problems, thanks, and sins. It suggests connecting with God, daring to pray like Daniel, and praying thankfully, in difficult times, and encouraging others, as Paul did.
This lesson was presented at the Gadsden Church of Christ on March 15th to share the need to reach out to the world. Mathew 14:22-32 as the text. As Jesus reached out to a sinking Peter, we need to reach out to a troubled world.

This document discusses rising to challenges and standing firm in faith. It references several Bible verses about persevering in doing good works. It notes that Elijah stepped up to the challenge from men against God. Finally, it encourages standing fast in principles, getting in God's word, and removing weights and sin.
This lesson is based on the Armor of God spoekn by Paul in Ephesians 6:10-17. The importance is understanding the armor is not loaned, but owned. It must be put on before the battle rages on.
God's definition of good is conformity to his will in order to live with him eternally. Several verses in Romans chapter 8 qualify this, explaining that through the Holy Spirit, believers can realize God's goodness and strengthen their relationship with him. Specifically, the Spirit helps believers, intercedes for them, and those in Christ have God on their side. To experience God's goodness, one should be in Christ, focus their mind on spiritual things, communicate with God in prayer, and live according to his purpose.
This lesson was presented on February 15, 2015 as part of a series on Love. This specifically discusses the situation of the man who fell among robbers and asks the question if we are too busy in our world.
7 Effective Habits of Highly Effective ChristiansChris Gallagher
The document outlines seven habits of highly effective Christians: 1) make social contacts, 2) establish common interests, 3) peek spiritual interest, 4) don't go too far too quickly, 5) do not condemn, 6) stay on the main issue, and 7) confront directly. Each habit is accompanied by a brief explanation and biblical references. The habits are presented as effective strategies for Christians to have spiritual conversations based on Jesus' example in John 4.
The Success of 2014 is in the Power of Your HeartChris Gallagher
Planning for a coming year is an important part to success, be an important part of spiritual success as well. The greater question of planning is, "Who will you take with you?"
This document discusses the importance and meaning of work. It provides biblical quotes about work being part of God's plan and how man was created to work. Additional quotes emphasize that work should be done wholeheartedly as for God, that labor deserves wages, and that those unwilling to work should not eat. The document suggests reflecting on what you will do when your work is done and questions about when you will retire or spiritually retire.
David gave his son Solomon final words of advice, challenging him to act responsibly, walk with God, and obey David's commands. A father shows love through discipline, and David disciplined Solomon out of love, just as the Scriptures instruct fathers to admonish their children using spiritual wisdom and knowledge to warn them against foolishness and temptation.
This lesson is the first lesson in the Men's Retreat. The lesson is designed to begin a discussion on setting goals and reaching for the future by changing our current outlook.
The Book of Revelation, filled with symbolic and apocalyptic imagery, presents one of its most striking visions in Revelation 9:3-12—the locust army. Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.

(Matthew 28.19-20, ESV)
