I have been having a great time exploring all
over Brazil! The first stop I made was to the
breath-taking Iguazu Falls. Which is an
amazing water fall on the border of the
Brazilian state of Parana. It was a really cool
site to see and the highest drop was 82
meters. The second stop I made was to see
Cristo Redentor which is a 30 meter statue
of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro. It is a
symbol of Brazilian Christianity and
overlooks the whole city. Lastly, I made a
relaxing stop to Copacabana. It is a beach in
Brazil that is also located in the city of Rio
de Janeiro. It is known for its 4 km beach,
which is one of the most famous in the
world. Overall Brazil held lots of fun and I
visited some very neat places!

5. Dear Laurel,
Morocco has been so much fun and I wish
you could see it. First I visited Volubilis which
are ruins of a roman empire. It was
fascinating to see what life was like back then
and I was impressed how well preserved it
was! Next I made a stop to the Koutoubia
Mosque. Which is a landmark and the largest
mosque in Marrakech, Morocco. The
architecture was very detailed and amazing
to see. This is probably one of the reasons
why it is argued to be one of the most
beautiful mosque’s in the entire world. It was
first completed under the reign of Almohad
but has been altered since. My last stop in
morocco was to the cascades d’ouzoud which
is a beautiful waterfall. It is 110 meters tall ,
and was a little challenging to hike up but
overall was tons of fun! I can’t wait for
Guatemala and I will tell you more about my
trip when I get back!

7. Dear Bernard,
Guatemala has been a blast and I hope to
come back sometime! I have been doing
many exciting activities here such as hiking
Volcano Pacaya. It is an active volcano, but
also a popular tourist attraction. It rises to an
elevation of 2,552 meters, and even though I
didn’t hike up the whole thing it was fairly
easy to hike and I had a lot of fun. Next I
stopped at Tikal which is one of the largest
Mayan ruins in the world. It is also part of
Guatemala's Tikal National Park and in 1979
was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Finally I visited the Castillo San Felipe de Lara.
It is a Spanish colonial fort that connects to
the Caribbean Sea via the Dulce River and El
Golfete lake. The fort was built at the
narrowest point on the river as a strategy to
protect the port of San Antonio de las
Bodegas from pirate attacks. It was a very
historical site to see and has been kept in
good shape. I can’t wait for France!

9. Dear Sally,
The last country I have visited on my trip is
France and I can definitely say I will be coming
back! I have visited many fascinating places
including the Palace of Versailles. It is where
Marie - Antoinette and Louis XIV lived and is
not only a building but a symbol of the
system of absolute monarchy of the Ancient
Régime. Also based on records it cost two
billion dollars (in todays money) to build it.
Second I made a stop at the Eiffel tower. The
Eiffel Tower is a tower that has 3 floors, 9
elevators and an amazing view from the top!
It was a great place to visit and was a very
popular tourist attraction. My last stop of the
whole trip was the Arc de Triomphe and it was
a good way to end the trip! The Arc de
Triomphe is a 50 m arch that honors those
who fought and died for France in the French
Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.
Underneath it lies the tomb of the unknown
soldier from World War II. It was a great trip!
