TITLE: Power system stability based on contourlet Transforms with load shedding
priority
OBJECTIVE: To maintain and maximize plant operations during both islanded condition
and dropping of under frequency or prolonged under voltage condition a load shed scheme is
needed. But when load shed is activated there exists a sudden over shoot in the generator side
and leads to very poor power quality. So a soft computing based method is needed to
dynamically monitor the load generation unbalance in the plant and upon detecting the above
condition by using contourlet transforms and it needs to quickly initiate shedding of optimal
amount of load based on a user determined priority schedule. By doing so we are able to reduce
the overshoot by shedding only few loads and maintain the essential loads. In our proposal
overshoot after the priority is only five percentage of the actual overshoot.

TITLE: Application of wireless control intelligence robot for surveillance system
OBJECTIVE: To explore how the radio controlled robot is used in surveillance system.
We have designed a robot, which is equipped with pick and place arm, live body detecting sensor
and gas leakage detecting sensor, this entire arrangement is placed on the locomotive system.
Zigbee protocol based data communication has been developed for working of robot
