The Sleep Buddy team created an app to address challenges organizers face in broadcasting hackathon information across existing platforms and keeping hackers engaged through push notifications, an awards section, and a photo stream. User research found that information dispersal, consumption, and communication were priorities, while hacker and organizer feedback uncovered a need for hacker-generated content and an improved contact list.
