2. SUB-GENRE
Folk Rock / Indie Folk / Nu Folk
Examples of bands/artists for this genre of music are:
. Noah and the Whale
. Laura Marling
. Mumford and Sons
. Feist
. Johnny Flynn
3. TARGET AUDIENCE
I am targeting a niche audience however, my sub genre of
indie folk is becoming more and more popular .
My age range is 16-45 . This is because the up and coming
artists which are appearing for this sub genre appeal to
younger people, but their origins come from folk, blue grass
and jazz which relates more to the older part of the age
range.
60% female – 40% male . This genre of music is
predominately male, however I will be targeting a larger
female percentage.

6. POSSIBLE MAIN COVER IMAGE
For the front cover I am thinking of
having a female dressed up in a
vintage/retro style.
1940’s hairstyle.
To reinforce my
sub-genre of
music I want my
Classic Makeup. model to be
holding a musical
Printed Tea Dress. instrument.
7. POSSIBLE MAIN COVER IMAGE
In using this shot type
‘direct gaze’ would be
easily achieved which
will draw in the
audience and make
them feel included.
Medium Close-up.
Long Shot.
In using a long shot type the
musical instrument prop would be
clearer to see, and less awkward
looking.
