ORDER OF OPERATIONS

MYSTERY MURDER IN
CLUE TOWNMr. Boddy, the millionaire was murdered late
last night in Clue Town. With no witnesses and
no apparent murder weapon, Miss. Hoggatt’s
class has been asked to decipher the clues!
Whoever our mystery murderer is, left their
clues in code. It appears to be some
mathematical equation. Hopefully these 7th
graders are capable of solving the problem to
bring our murder to justice!

If you can solve this problem, you will know
where to look for the next clue.
(9 x 3 + 2) + 9 x 6 = ?

You figured out where my next clue is. I better make these problems
more difficult so I don’t get caught!
If you figure out Clue #2, you will knock off a suspect as well as a
possible murder weapon!

husband. The rope has also been tested for DNA and was negative.
If you figure out Clue #3, you will find a clue that crosses off another
suspect.

was nowhere near Mr. Boddy.

Scarlet fix a light bulb. Both of them were spotted on camera at the
hardware store during the time of the murder.

murder weapon.

officers become his alibi. The revolver that was found in Mr. Boddy’s

fact.

or the wrench killed Mr. Bobby.

The wrench was finally found in a dumpster outside of Clue Town. It
had Mr. Boddy’s blood on it as well as a finger print. This finger print
will tell us who killed Mr. Boddy.

killed Mr. Bobby.

TOWN – SOLVED!
Miss. Hoggatt’s 7th grade class figured out all
the clues! Clue Town’s Police Department is
forever grateful.
Professor Plum will be prosecuted and tried in
front of a jury sometime in March. The trail date
has not been set yet.
