Multisentry Enterprise is a fully integrated VideoSurveillance platform, that thanks to a uni-
fied interface allows to manage different devices (IP Cameras, Video Servers, DVRs/NVRs, sensors,
etc), alarm systems, access control systems and attendance management systems, using the most
innovative tehnologies to grant the user superior functionalities.
Multisentry Enterprise VideoSurveillance Platform

Multisentry Enterprise is a centralized platform solution fo-
cused on the needs of users, managing large and distribuited video
surveillance systems with efficiency and reliability, consenting the
maximum flexibility of the architecture and the scalabity of video
channels and monitored sites.
Multisentry platform is tipically based on a three-tier archi-
tecture; the first tier is the ASE (Aplliance for Security Environments),
an advanced NVR appliance, connected directly to network came-
ras or other devices in the surveillance system, providing continuos
and triggered recordings and many other features and allowing a
secure and encrypted communication with the MCU (Master Con-
trol Unit), that is the middle tier of the architecture and can be deplo-
yed in the customer data center or in a cloud environment.

MCU grants the centralization of ASE functionalities, system logs
management and user management through the Multisentry Console
software; that is the top tier of the structure, granting the monitoring of the
whole or parts of the videosurveillance system configured, according to
the user’s rights.
Besides the capability to acquire, record and manage different
video sources, Multisentry Enterprise can handle digital I/Os and offers
Advanced Video Analisys features, using proprietary and third party libra-
ries.
The multi-tier architecture allows maximum flexibility in system
design and the best efficiency in deployment.
Multisentry Console grants the users to make their supervisory
activities in a secure and optimal way giving functionalities such as custo-
mizable multi-monitor live view, remote systems management panels,
events and alarm management system with a log that traces the activi-
ties based on an alarm (sensors triggered, Video Analysis generated...), and
many other features.

Scalability
With its multi-tier architecture and the flexibility of the IP based
technology, Multisentry Enterprise can suit any security requirement, al-
lowing users to expand or modify their video surveillance systems or to
add functionality at any time without having to redesign, thus reducing
installation costs.
Multisentry Enterprise has been designed to fulfill the needs of
private customers, Law Enforcements and Public Administrations (traffic
control, life safety, situational awareness, resource protection, crowd con-
trol), industries (plant security, people counting, man down) and Private
Security operations centers (remote monitoring of hundreds sites geo-
graphically far from each other).
So it is possible to handle the expansion of the surveillance sy-
stem according to the increasing needs of the customer, adding video
channels, monotiring more sites from a single control center, allowing re-
mote users to to connect to the management panels simultanously.
Key Features

Advanced User Management
Designed to fit the requirements of management and monitoring
also of large and structured customers, Multisentry Enterprise has an
advanced features user management system, thus allowing the creation
and management of a large number of concurring users with different per-
missions, priviliges and attributes depending on their profiles.
This allows easy and secure management of VideoSurveillance
systems in sensitive, access restricted and classified sites, permitting
external users such as Private Security and Law Enforcement Operators re-
mote access, also temporary limited access, to well-defined functionali-
ties.

Advanced Logging Management
Multisentry Enterprise, with its Advanced Logging Manage-
ment, fits any requirement of users and systems centralized control.
Multisentry Enterprise allows to collect and analyze any log of
syslog-enabled IP based device in the VideoSurveillance System, granting
the capability to detect operating anomalities and to make predictive
analysis of hardware failures, if any, avoiding service discontinuity and
reducing the TCO of the whole system.
Advanced Event Management
Any event, such alarms generated by Video Analysis, external
sensors or others, or notifications from access control systems, or system
events, can be managed automatically according to predefined policies,
or by operators with a a dedicated ticketing system.
This allows users to handle the event, inspect any related recor-
dings and live view of alarmed cameras, to analyze any linked system in-
formation, and track it, creating a complete activities history that can be
used to examine and improve the surveillance operating modes.

Powerful Scheduler
Multisentry Enterprise allows the greatest flexibility in scheduling
alarms, recordings and others.
Through a visual calendar the operator can enable or disable
scheduled actions and alarms, managing overlappings and duplications to
avoid false positives.
It is also possible to schedule automated notifications to remo-
te users (mail, sms and mms) or other devices (digital I/O, TCP/IP calls,
WebServices), to preset patrol tour on PTZ cameras and enable/disable
different event triggered recordings.
Enhanced Live View
Any live monitoring enabled operator can create custom views,
including camera streams from different locations, grouped and ordered
according to his needs, handling multiple views at the same time on multi-
ple monitors. PTZ enabled cameras can be operated directly from the Live
View.

Synoptic Map
Besides Live-View, Multisentry Console gives also control center
operators an Interactive Mapping System which can be used to load sites
plans and to simply Drag&Drop cameras on them.
This systems allows the quick identification of each camera and
direct access to its live stream. When an event activates one or more came-
ras, their icons will start blinking making the location of the area involved
intuitive.
Powerful Recording Search Engine
The Recording Search Engine gives the possibility to search on a
temporary basis as well as on specific camera groups, besides filtering the
output of the search on a specific event.
It is possible the contemporary downloading and previewing of
more than one recording; once downloaded they can be displayed singly
or in groups, they can be exported in various formats, also extracting single
frames as snaphosts.

Intelligent Video Analysis
Thanks to the support of partners leaders in the field such as
TechnoAware, the use of Intelligent Video Analisys libraries, integrated
in different levels of the architecture, grants a wide range of features:
• Intrusion Detection and real time notification of the intrusion within a
virtual area or of the crossing of a virtual line or perimeter by subjects
of interest.
• GateFlow Counting of subjects of interest entering/exiting defined
virtual gates
• AreaCounting Counting of the number of subjects of interest present
within defined virtual areas.
• OccupancyRate Real time estimate of the percentage of occupancy of
virtual areas by subjects of interest.
• HeatMap Counting and aggregation of the number of subjects and
amount of dwell time in virtual areas

• ATM Detection and notification of a single person or more than
one person who remains within a defined virtual area for longer
than a specified time.
• Loitering Detection of subjects of interest that remain within a
defined virtual area for longer that a specified time.
• PanicDisorders Real time notification on sudden or anomalous
variation of speed and/or acceleration of subjects of interest
within defined virtual areas.
• LeftObject Detection of objects left within each defined virtual
area for longer than a defined timeframe.
• StolenObject Detection of the removal of defined, identified
objects on the image.
• Counting Counting, classification and aggregation of subjects in
transit through each defined virtual line.
• Avspeed Detection of average traffic speed for each defined vir-
tual line.
• StationaryVehicle Detection of stationary vehicles within a defi-
ned carriageway/area.
• Wrongway Detection and real time notification of subjects moving in a
defined wrong direction within a defined virtual area.
• FaceDetection Detection, identification and real time notifications of hu-
man faces within a defined virtual area.
• SmokeFire Detection and real time notification of smoke and fireflames
within a defined virtual area .

As an addiction, by using specific network cameras that integrate
video analysis features, Multisentry Enterprise allows an Improved Manage-
ment of the Bandwidth and the Storage necessary to run the system. Goals
that can already be reached using specific ROI (Regioni Of Interest) and low
bitrate streams for Video Analysis on higher levels of the system architecture.

Next Generation IP Cameras
The network cameras used have been chosen among highly re-
liable brands (Acti, Arecont Vision, Axis, D-Link, HikVision, Samsung, Vivo-
tek...) so as to grant the best image quality in any situation, for instance
IP67 compliance with temperature range from -40°C to 70°C and dam-
penss up to 95%.
This choice is basic to grant the best performance from a Video-
Surveillance System.
MegaPixel cameras grant very high quality images and give the
possibility to widen the Field of View, mantaining a very high resolution
of sensible areas, so reducing the number of cameras.

The use of technologies like SorroundVideo® or of Fish-eye optics
allows a 180°even 360°vision with just one camera. Sensor Cropping and
E-PTZ make it possible to spot inside the camera shooting area one or more
ROI (Region Of Interest) and to record custom streams thus reducing the
bandwidth and the storage needed.

WDR (Wise Dymanic Range) or Enhanced WDR and Binning grant
well-defined images even in unhappy exposure or light conditions.
As regards shots overnight or in poorly lit indoors areas the choiche
of cameras goes from those with >0,001 lux sensitivity, to Dual Sensor ones,
IR-Corrected optics, even to thermal cameras, which allow the identifica-
tion of a human shape more than 1,5 km far, regardless any light condition,
even in total darkness.
Very high resolution cameras (up to 20 mega-pixel) toge-
ther with Intelligent Video Analisys grant the effective monitoring
of all areas of interest diminishing the occurence of false positives.

with a limited number of cameras, up to complex multi-site installations, or

Using digital I/Os, TCP/IP calls or HTTP calls, the integration with
already installed alarm or videosurveillance systems, access control systems,

Flexibility of IP based Technology
The use of IP networks for data transmission, specifically of video
streams, allows the maximum flexibility in the design and deploy of the sy-
stem.
Taking into account the customers needs, it is possible to use any
data transmission techonology, also in hybrid solutions, mixing cabled and
wireless networks, Point to Point solutions, with Point to MultiPoint and
Mesh ones, chosing devices operating on 2,4 Ghz, 5 Ghz e 17 Ghz of the
major brands (Alvarion, Cambium Networks, EnGenius, FluidMesh, Infinet
and Motorola), to link sites very far (50-120Km) from each other, also in
NLOS between end-points or in areas prone to jamming from other devices
operating on the same frequencies (radar also) by DFS (Dynamic Frequency
Selection) with an up to 300Mbps throughput.
The use of Network Digital Cameras grants a range of benefits, such
as High-Resoluton, multiple streaming, integrated I/Os and Video Analisys fe-
atures, bi-directional audio, custom enconding and streaming parameters...

Cost Effectiveness
Multisentry Enterprise gives automated tools to:
• continuosly and effectively support operators monitoring activities
notifying only anomalous events, warnings or alarms,
• automatically acquire and analyze real time information from any
device in the system, aggregating it in easy to manage screens resu-
ming the whole status of the interesting areas,
• ease the subsequent research of any events by indexing recordings
(forensyc analysis, infringments detection),
thus reducing costs related to supervision staff.
Multisentry Solutions KnowHow allows to remarkably lower
the TCO of a Security System.

It is possible to considerably reduce the number of cameras,
using High Resolution ones, with FishEye or SorroundVideo® technolo-
gies.
The definition of precise ROIs (Region Of Interest) and the use
of technologies as E-PTZ and Sensor Cropping together with simulta-
neous custom streams allow the significant improvement of the ban-
dwidth and the storage used by the system.
Event Triggered Recording activated from external sensors or
Intelligent Video Analysis further reduces the storage needed.
Enhanced reporting and alerting procedures simplify the mo-
nitoring activities of the operators supervising the system.

The use of high quality components, ensuring high operating stan-
dars, together with Multisentry Enterprise features, such as Syslog Centra-
lized Management of any connected device, allowing to analyze their usage
and their status to detect in real time or even predict prospective failures,
lowers administration and maintenace costs and reduces operational
stops.

Easy Installation/Configuration
Each component of Multisentry Enterprise platform has been
designed to simplify and shorten the installation procedure of a IP vi-
deosurveillance system.
ASEs can be supplied as hardware or virtual appliances, in rug-
ged IP66 or rackmountable cases.
ASEs can estabilish a secure and encrypted tunnel with a re-
mote MCU without any configuration on IGD or firewalls, allowing the
access on any network cameras or devices connected from everywhere.
Network cameras of various brands are automatically discove-
red and configured with standards presets that fit the needs of most cu-
stomers.
Supported cameras can be managed directly through Multisen-
try Console, giving operators a single and unified management inter-
face.
MCU also can be supplied on a custom-tailored server or as a
virtual appliance to be deployed in customers data centers, or as a dedi-
cated (to grant extended customizations) or shared (to reduce even more
TCO) cloud service.
Multisentry Cloud Service allows the monitoring and manage-
ment of the videosurveillance system without installing any software
on the clients.
Accessing Multisentry Web Portal users can administer the vi-
deosurveillance system from the most popular browsers.
